Day 13- The True Source of Happiness

Happy New Month!

May is here already.... 
So many have not been able to see this day to enjoy, so I am going to start the new month with a special prayer and I will like you all to join me:

Dear Lord, 
The Most Almighty and the Source of all Existence,

I raise my hands to praise You in Your Infinite Glory and Wisdom,

I thank You for letting me see this new month of May,

I thank You for keeping all my loved ones safe and healthy,
I also thank You for the many more wonderful months to come,

As it is by Your Love and  Grace,
That I am here today,

And not by my power alone!

I am grateful for all the blessings You have brought into my life,

And for all the new blessings that will come in this month,

Oh Lord,
Please shine Your Light on all of us,

And please show us the way to best serve You,

As Your servants in this beautiful world you have created!

May this month be full of only Happiness, Love, Peace and Harmony...

May all our deepest desires come true...

May we have the wisdom and courage to deal with any difficulties that arise with ease...

May we also have a month full of blessings and abundance.

In this month of May we pray!

I am so happy today! First of all, it is a public holiday, so that's a great start to the day...
And then it is a new month, and I am so excited to see what is in store for me. 

Sometimes I get so excited, that I start to feel like a kid again. 
Little things really give me joy.... Like having a cup of tea in the morning, or seeing a bird perched on my window singing to me, or watching kids play, or just sitting in the room staring at my ceiling thinking of all the great times I've had in the past.

When I think of how much joy I used to feel as a child, it makes me want to go back to those days... 

I reminisce on when I used to go out to ride our bikes with my sisters... 
We lived in a house surrounded by a huge compound which made the outdoors seem like a whole different world to me, as a kid. 
We had so much space filled with dirt, many different fruit trees, and gardens. We would ride around collecting stones, flowers, leaves and other fascinating things we would find on our 'journeys', and reconvene later at an agreed spot in the house, to either do a trade by barter or act out a spontaneous drama! 
We would climb trees like little monkeys, run around the house in mini races, play with the cats and also use our imaginations to make life more interesting. 
I believe this is where my creativity was born!

Sometimes, being an adult is not as fun as being a kid... With all the responsibilities and pressure we face constantly, it is not hard to see why.
But I believe every moment in our lives are meant to be enjoyed! 

Are there things that make me happy and fulfilled right now? Of course! Like my loved ones, a career on the rise, my blog, nice apartment, nice things, amazing memories, great music, living on this beautiful island, etc... 
Then I thought to myself, what if I had absolutely nothing left in this world apart from my life, would I still be happy? 

My answer was a resounding YES! That is because I know that my fulfillment does not come from all these worldly possessions but from me.

Once I realized this, it changed my life! When you know who you are and live your life the way you want, how can you not be truly happy?

Life is too short, to be unhappy.... You should find joy in everything you do, no matter how awful the task may be, that is if it is unavoidable. 

We all need to find happiness in the everyday tasks we do, have goals/ambitions, work towards achieving them daily, and also finding a sense of purpose or meaning to our existence. All of these will keep us waking up with a smile on our faces, because we already know the day is going to go great!

The secret to success, most successful people say, is to enjoy what you do... 
I see people who turn their love of baking into empires, nature enthusiasts with their own shows, people who travel the world with very popular blogs, etc... 
You will never work the same after watching this:

People turn their "hobbies" everyday into sources of abundance in terms of relationships, wealth, love, joy, etc...

If you can make one move today, to start doing what you have always loved to do, be it designing, running, playing sports, whatever it is....  

You could have that one idea that could set you on the right path and change your life for the better, forever! 

There is no better day than today!

You also have to believe in yourself more than anything in the world for this to work... 

You need to always seek guidance from God in everything you do, and live in a way that pleases Him, by always doing good and having only good intentions.
